Bodacious Boats is a small boat building shop that is not quite yet open for business. The workshop is almost complete and soon we will be accepting orders for small wooden boats under 16 feet in length. If you have an interest in having a boat built, please call me at (850) 570-7044 and we can discuss a design appropriate for your needs and wants. The price for the build of your boat will depend upon the complexity of the design and the level of finish that you would like. We will be specializing in simple plywood sailboats, rowboats, and tenders fastened with bronze ring nails, bronze screws and epoxy. We also will have sail making ability so that sailing rigs will be available to complete your choice of design where appropriate. My business office space is currently in my home in Tallahassee but eventually the entire operation will move to the workshop located on Clinton Rd. near Monticello, Florida. I am about to retire from the Florida State University Physics Department and then I will be building boats full-time for those interested in a small, high-quality, wooden boat.
